Traceability a class better

In the automotive sector, the traceability of parts is very important. Therefore, the parts are frequently marked with so-called DataMatrix codes. These codes allow for different information to be included, for example, the lot from which the part originates or the name of its supplier. Usually, direct part marking with impact marking systems or marking lasers are used for the marking of the parts.

To increase the process safety, the Any-Marker software can be integrated into the impact markers and marking lasers. This software enables the Schilling machines, for example, to take the data to be marked from an existing company data base (e.g. SAP…) automatically. This prevents typos occurring in the data which is to be marked.

When the parts have been marked, camera systems can be used to check and save the markings. This ensures 100 percent traceability.

Additionally, an Any-Marker integration module is available. This allows the Schilling machines to be coupled simply and quickly to the existing industrial installations.

Unique Device Identification (UDI) for the identification of medical products

Until now, the identification of medical products has been a voluntary service offered by the manufacturers. With “UDI” (Unique Device Identification), however, the unique identification of medical products becomes mandatory. According to the American (USA) Food and Drug Administration (FDA), from now on, all members of the supply chain in the healthcare sector must identify their medical products in compliance with the UDI directive. A mandatory Unique Device Identification is also planned for Europe.

Schilling marking lasers combined with the Any-Marker software are a simple solution to ensure compliance with the FDA accredited standards. With Schilling marking lasers for example, it is possible to mark the special HIBC and GS1 codes. Any-Marker automatically creates the codes using the information stored in the company data base (e.g. Majesty, SAP…).

Any-Marker also ensures that all markings are checked and stored if necessary. This allows you to verify at any time which part was marked, when, and with what information.

Marks almost by itself

In the field of tool making, there is often a need to mark tools of different shank diameters. The tools are usually marked with one or more lines of text. The content is usually input manually. In most cases, a DataMatrix code with the same content has to be added to the plain text as well. Inserting this information manually is time-consuming and prone to errors.

The Any-Marker software allows you to automate and simplify the tool marking process. For example, it is possible to define that it is sufficient to insert the diameter for the marking laser to move to the correct marking height. It is also possible to link the Any-Marker software to company data bases or orders. This makes it unnecessary to manually input the marking data.

Any-Marker modules are also available to mark the same items - with different customer logos (OEM marking), for example.

1. Part identification

It is automatically checked which parts have been inserted. This check is carried out via a camera system or via RFID technology.

A cheaper possibility is the manual scanning of the job. After scanning the corresponding file is automatically activated and the dot peen marking machine starts marking.





2. Laser marking

The parts are marked. The information (e. g. logos, serial numbers...) are automatically loaded from the corresponding data base (e. g. Excel, Majesty, SAP...).

A preview displays the positioning of the parts. A counter displays the number of parts that have already been marked. A marking series can be cancelled and continued at any time.





3. Validation of marking

The laser marking is checked. Especially the content of the codes as well as the quality of the markings are checked. 

Moreover it is possible to make a backup of the markings which is necessary to be able to trace the parts. Thus it is possible to check afterwards when the part was marked and where.

Our software solutions are especially easy to use. Due to the modular structure, additional software modules are available and can be added later. If required, Any-Marker can also be adjusted to individual needs.
